There are many ways to enjoy Birding. Patch-Birding is a way to deeply understand a specific area, its characteristics, habitats and residents. My patch is an inland suburban woodland, southwest of Boston. The more intensely I have gotten to know this single defined place, the more it surprises and enlightens me.
